Jackson Lewis LLP Continues Local Expansion

DETROIT, MI (July 31, 2009) -- Allan S. Rubin and Lawrence B. Shulman, along with Christina A. Daskas, Neil B. Pioch and John C. Signorino, all of Rubin Shulman, have joined Jackson Lewis LLP, one of the nation's largest and fastest growing employment law firms. Mr. Rubin joins as a Partner, Ms. Daskas and Messrs. Pioch and Signorino join as Associates. Lawrence B. Shulman will act as Of Counsel. The Jackson Lewis Detroit office, which opened in February 2008, now numbers 10 attorneys.

Mr. Rubin is a nationally recognized trial and appellate attorney. During the course of his career, he has handled a wide variety of matters, including the defense of nationwide and state class actions, employment and labor matters, including FLSA and state wage and hour claims, complex trade secrets cases, defamation actions, commercial litigation, and corporate internal investigations,

Mr. Shulman devotes a substantial portion of his practice to complex civil and criminal litigation. Over the course of his career, he has tried over 200 jury trials and more than 300 bench trials, argued before appellate courts, and negotiated thousands of cases. Mr. Shulman served for seven years in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office in Detroit, where he was a member of the elite Special Crime Section. In private practice, Mr. Shulman now guides clients through the maze of state and federal criminal litigation and related matters such as licensing issues, forfeiture proceedings, administrative hearings, corporate internal investigations, and civil litigation.
